The Scholarship/Fellowship Committee offers a Conference Scholarship to two attendees for each the Spring Institute and the Fall Conference. The scholarships are for current governmental employees in the financial area who intend to continue to progress professionally in the field of governmental finance. If you are not currently a member of the GFOAT and are awarded a scholarship, the Scholarship/Fellowship Committee will also provide a one-year membership to the GFOAT. GFOAT will cover the conference registration fee, lodging, and travel expenses for award winners

Please be aware of housing poachers that have been contacting GFOAT attendees and sponsors about booking hotel rooms for the 2017 GFOAT Spring Institute. The only GFOAT endorsed hotel for this event is The Renaissance Austin. When registration opens you will receive an email and then you can book your hotel room. CANCELLATION AND SUBSTITUTION POLICY
If you are registered and cannot attend, we encourage you to send a substitute. If you cannot send a substitute, a $45 cancellation fee will be assessed if written cancellation is emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org by March 20. No refunds will be honored after that date.

Make plans to have dinner on your own, then join us for a fabulous acoustic performance from Wade Bowen in the Glass Oaks Ballroom. Desserts and cash bar will be provided. Make sure to pick up your wristband for admittance at the GFOAT registration desk
An application has been submitted to the State Board of Accountancy for CEU/CPE continuing education units. CGFO credits will also be offered. No prerequisites are required for any session.
CONFIRMATIONS AND BADGES
Conference badges will be mailed in advance. Please remember to bring your badge to the conference. If you do not receive your packet in the mail, you can pick up your registration materials on site.
The Certified Government Finance Officer’s exam will be offered from 2:00–4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, at the Renaissance Austin Hotel. If you are interested in sitting for an exam during this time, please register online at www.gfoat.org. For additional questions, please email email@example.com and a CGFO study group will be held at the Austin Renaissance Hotel on April 9 from 10:00 a.m. until Noon.

The Bruce Testa Semi Annual Golf Outing is scheduled for Sunday, April 9 at the Star Ranch Golf Club, located at 2500 FM 685, Hutto, TX 78634. Tee times starting at 7:30 a.m. The cost is $76 per person, which includes the green fee, cart, and range. Also included is breakfast and lunch from the all-inclusive buffet. This will be a four-person scramble with four closets to the pin contest and two long drive holes contest.
